Elmo Overhead Projectors
Choosing the proper elmo overhead projector is an important task, as there are many varieties to choose from! Each individual application in which a projector could be used calls for a different type or variety, and matching the type with the purpose is essential in making the best delivery possible.
The most important question you must first ask yourself is: Where will I keep my elmo overhead projector? If you plan on keeping it in one place, you should invest in projectors that are made to be stationary, as they lack portability but make up for it in sturdy build and usually extended warranties. Traveling and changing the location of your projector to a large degree though can cause the need for a portable elmo overhead projector, which are usually lighter and easier to carry. A properly designed product can usually be folded into the rough size and shape of a suitcase, which makes even airport transportation of the unit relatively easy.
Elmo overhead projectors come with many specifications and add-ons, such as a lamp changer, doublet or triplet head, Hi/Lo switch, and even standard focal length projections or wide angle projections. Knowing what these (and other) product specific terms mean and are used for can help you not only tailor your purchase to whatever you are using the elmo overhead projector for, but it will also give you the knowledge needed to keep an avid salesman from selling you something you don’t really need. All of these options can cost extra, and most people would rather save money than spend extra on things they never intend to use.
The first term you must become familiar with is “lumen output”. Lumens are a type of unit used to measure brightness and light intensity, so lumen output is naturally how bright the elmo overhead projector display can get. Classrooms or boardrooms are usually sufficient with three thousand to four thousand lumens of output. This is a good standard to base your preferred brightness level off of. Lumens can further be manipulated with a Hi/Lo switch. These are typically installed on portable units, which are used in differing lighting situations.
Head assembly comes in three options: singlet, doublet, or triplet. In general, shorter distances should use more heads or a wide-angle elmo overhead projector. These will allow the user to project images a short distance without sacrificing image quality. The typical classroom projector uses a single-head assembly.
